Inspired by an artist friend who suggested that it was just as important to “See Their Faces” as to “Say Their Names”, I began to create portraits of Black and Brown Americans who have been killed by police or vigilante violence. There are countless others to be remembered and, I fear, more to come. We must do something to stop this carnage.
